First of all, congratulations to all of you who got everything right on your spelling tests! I hope you enjoyed your well-deserved sweets. To those of you who didn't, better luck next time.
The Octopuses had the most points of all the groups today, so congratulations to all of you! I hope you enjoyed your prizes. We'll start from zero for each group from next week, and who knows what prizes you might get this time...
In other news, Ms. Lindsey has now gone back to America. I'm sure you'll all miss her a lot, but it was nice of her to come in a few days ago to say goodbye.
Also, there was homework today, for those of you who didn't finish it in class- this worksheet here.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Hope you all had a great day! Thank you very much to Waleed, Fares and Jenna who gave me flowers and little presents, it was very sweet of you.
The class sang really well today with Miss Casey, I can see some of you have been practising... we also played a spelling game (well done, everyone) and read our new story, "Oh cats!"
We had homework today, to finish the handwriting sheets. I have attached a copy here.
Don't forget we have a spelling test on Thursday, so work hard at it!

Hello!
This is Ms. Rita, making my first blog post here! I've been working with 1A since the break, but from now on I'll be the main teacher. I've had a lot of fun this past week and we've all learnt a lot, so hopefully it will continue!
I think there was a bit of confusion with the periods changing, so basically, this is what's happening: rather than having English first and second periods for 1A, they'll have classes in Arabic first and then their English class after the first break. So it's just that there's been a bit of a shuffle.
We have a spelling test on Thursday! Your spelling words are:
1. tree
2. see
3. say
4. play
5. stay
6. away
7. go
8. no
9. so
We also had homework today! Your homework is this, and you have to fill in the blanks. Here is a photo for you!
We also have a song for this week, that unfortunately we didn't manage to sing today due to the fact that Ms. Rita has partly lost her voice and can't sing. Several of the children knew the song though, and sang it very well for us! Hopefully it will be back to normal for tomorrow though.

Today is Ms. Rita's first day as the main teacher for 1A. Mr. Sean will still be helping out but now Ms. Rita is the teacher for 1A. We are also changing English from 1st and 2nd period to 3rd and 4th.
